SEO doesn't work - why are you any different?

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) does ‘work’ if it is done properly, the only way in which it will work for you is if you achieve page 1 rankings for the keywords that are relevant to your business. For example, ranking on page 1 for ‘bathrooms in Lincoln’ is not going to drive the right inquiries if you’re a plumber in Lincoln. Equally Ranking on Page 2 or 3 of Google for ‘Emergency Plumber in Lincoln’ wouldn’t work well either as the ‘searcher’ will rarely venture past page 1 rankings.

I’ve just had a new website built – why am I not getting any new business?

There could be many reasons for this, typically it’s because the website, domain, and content haven’t been previously optimised. Its all very well having a great shop front but if you’re down an alley with no directions, know one will know you’re there. The best thing to do would be to have a full audit done on your current website, to identify how best to move forward.

I was ranking at the top of page 1 and now my website isn’t ranking anywhere?

Whilst this could be caused by a number of things, there is usually a logical reason for a ‘sudden’ drop in rankings. For example, Google runs many periodic updates and if your website isn’t compliant to these updates it can have a negative impact on your visibility in the search engines. This is something we would highly recommend having reviewed before taking any further action.

Can you guarantee success?

In short, No. Any reputable agency will tell you that guarantee’s in this sector are not only misleading but highly inaccurate. Google, the main search engine used globally, is a third party. Despite being Google certified partners we (alongside everyone else in our industry) have no control of when or what the algorithm updates will be.
